The Seeker 3 Pro is now the 3rd generation of seekers to date, and it really shows. With it being a little more of a thicker flashlight, it's not my first decision to carry this in my pocket. However, with the carry case and even the option to purchase a pocket clip, I have found this light super easy to carry. The 3rd generation brings in some new features from the previous Seeker 2 Pro. Such as a boastful 4200 lumens quad-LED setup, from the previous 3200 lumens 3 LEDs in the Seeker 2 Pro. The seeker 3 Pro powerful LED flashlight also has a proximity sensor, which is just an absolute necessity. When you’re putting that kind of power in your pocket or bag, safety should be a priority. The new auto-lock function is handy when not having to hold down the power button every time you want to lock the light. This is not new to Olight, as the famous Marauder 2 has the same style of twist switch with the auto-locking function. It's very clear that Olight is taking safety very seriously and putting the customers first.
Unboxing:
Olight has really stepped up the user unboxing experience. Although I would say that their lights aren’t priced low, I would also say that their lights aren’t overpriced. When unboxing they have gone above and beyond to make it a premium experience. Here is what you get in the box:
· Olight Seeker 3 Pro
· Belt/Pack Holster
· Customized 3.6V 5000mAh 21700 Lithium-ion Battery
· Olight Wireless MCC3 Charger
· User Manual
Every Day Use
Coming from the previous generation Seeker 2 Pro (which I love, and still use), the seeker 3 Pro is an absolute tank. They are pretty much identical in size with a few minor changes. The rubberized grip around the handle really makes it a comfortable flashlight to hold. Not only does it help with keeping the heat off your hands when you're using high power for long extended times. But it gives it a really nice grip and easy to hold onto the feeling. The bezel comes in with a few more ribs on the top than the previous Seeker 2 pro, giving it a little more of a tactical style and use.
Some of the more obvious changes are going to be the 4 powerful LEDs as well as the new on/off function switch. To turn on the Seeker 2 Pro, you had the standard side switch button that Olight has on pretty much all of their other products. You would press once to turn on, hold it down to function through the 3 levels of brightness, double press for the turbo function, and then triple press for the strobe function. To access the lock mode, you would have to hold down the side switch for 3 seconds until the moonlight mode turned off, and then it would be locked. Now, this has been the standard for Olight for a long time. The lock function is a huge deal and a major safety aspect of these high-powered lights. Now with the new Seeker 3 Pro, they integrated a new twistable side switch and an auto lock function. The functions pretty much stay the same except for when initially powering the light on you will need to rotate the side switch clockwise at least 90 degrees to deactivate the lock.
Tactical Use
The Seeker 3 Pro has a bit more of an aggressive bezel than the previous version. Making this light perfect for any kind of tactical use such as military or law enforcement. Also, when it even comes to someone’s own safety, whether it be in the house, walking the dog, or camping. The seeker 3 Pro gives really has that good comfortable feel and allows the user to have great confidence.
As an EDC user, the holster really gives great function when you need to attach it to your belt, vest, or even your pack. You could use the Seeker 3 Pro when you're out hunting. It allows you to really light up the woods and not only allows you to see what’s going on but also if need be, allows you to signal for help if something happens. There is no way you would miss the power of the Seeker 3 Pro. Safety is a very important factor and given the more tactical advantages and sheer brightness of the Seeker 3 Pro, it really is a no brainer.
The brightness level function where you hold down the side switch to access the 3 levels and double press for turbo are the same. Except now you can use the turn dial to dial-up and dial down the brightness as well, which is a really neat feature. And when you are done using it, after 30 seconds the flashlight automatically goes into lock mode, which is super handy. The battery level indicator on the right lets you know how much life you have left before you need to charge (1 red LED – 10% ~ 25% Power, 2 green LEDs – 25% ~ 50% Power, 3 green LEDs – 50% ~ 75%, 4 green LEDs - >75%) As well as the intensity indicator on the left that indicates the level of brightness you are on. (1 green LED - <5%, 2 green LEDs - >5%, 3 LEDs - <10%, 4 LEDs - >50%) The Seeker 3 Pro has a Turbo mode of 4200 Lumens! It's truly something you have to see to really understand just how bright it is. Here are the lighting levels and run times. Each represents the intensity and steps down it will take as battery and/or heat is a factor. Also, keep in mind these times are based on a fully charged battery.
· Turbo – 4,200 ~ 1,200 ~ 600 Lumens
o Turbo Run Time - 2.5+127+35 mins
· High - 1,200~600~300 lumens
o High Run Time - 135+35+10 mins
· Medium - 300 lumens
o Run Time Medium – 640 minutes
· Low – 50 Lumens
o Run Time on Low - 55.5 Hours
· Moon – 5 Lumens
o Run Time on Moon – 15 Days
Now the pocket clip, Olight won’t include this with the purchase of a Seeker 3 Pro. (you can purchase them separately) The Seeker 3 Pro, they have two-way pocket clips that allow you to pocket the light bezel up or bezel down. They really do make a huge difference when carrying this light.
With Olight's standard magnetic charger, which has become a standard, and a pretty handy one at that. I keep one in my car, at my desk, and on my bed stand. They are so nice to have around, especially if you have more than one Olight. The back of the Seeker 3 Pro, like other Olights, is magnetic. This means when you need to go hands-free and you have some type of metal around you, like working on your car, in the shop, or maybe even attached to your knife while camping. It is a nice feature to have and makes recharging and attaching super easy.

Even with all the safety features always be extra careful.
Build Quality
Olight has always strived to provide the highest level of build quality. Offering a lot of different materials when it comes to other lights, such as copper and titanium. Olight makes it a point to listen to customers and ask what they think. We will reach out and get ideas on what can do better and even take constructive feedback and drive off that to make a better product. Now, we also will have other best tactical lights.
So the build quality really does speak for itself. Machined aluminum or depending on the other lights you may get, copper or titanium. The Seeker 3 Pro really feels and holds like a high-end piece of illumination. They put soft rubber grips on to not only make it comfortable to hold but to take away from some of the heat transfer that comes with such a powerful light. The heat distribution fins on the bell of the light give the Seeker 3 pro a really nice look but also allow it to disperse the heat better. Finally, the piece of the Seeker 3 Pro that makes the quality really stand out, is the side switch. When you turn the side switch dial and feel it in your hands, it is really incredible to think about the engineering and design that went into this. Not only can it not be cheap but the idea that you can dial up and down the brightness is just such a versatile function.
